Macavity

They go on about Macavity
Napoleon of Crime
They say "He's not here"
Simply ALL the time

It gets just a bit tedious
And certainly quite boring
When I stand in the midst of the crowd
And STILL they are ignoring!

It's not like I have magic
I'm not some sort of mage
I cannot use the Force
Isolation is a cage!

I watch them as they leave me
Here, alone yet not
I yell and scream and shout
Do they hear me? Not a jot!

Or even if they do hear
And even if they see
Macavity's not there!
So they always ignore me
