Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer
by JadedSilver

He saw her take the pearls.
He saw her switch the dice.
He saw her steal from squirrels.
But he told them all and told them twice,
He saw nothing at all, for she was asleep all night.

She saw him break the lock.
She saw him sneak inside.
She saw him take the clock.
But she told them all she had a small slide,
Hit her head and forgot the events of that night.

They robbed the rich and poor.
They always had an alibi.
They could get through any door.
But once at home they both would sigh,
Debate, and decide what to say they did that night.
